Final A2 Coursework

Final A2 Coursework

The video embedded below is the second draft to the music video. It has not undergone drastic changes but there has been some modifications. I have added more cutaway shots and I have tried to make a narrative more clear by including a male subject in the video as the lyrics are about "teenage love" and in the first draft I only included one teenager. I also added more close ups of the band and used more of the green screen editing.

Village Green Documentary

Village Green EPQ

I am in the process of creating a documentary. I have created a video on music festivals with examples and interviews from Village Green, a small arts and music festival in Southend-on-Sea. I used iMovie to create this short film and I have spent time trying to get the timing on the editing and the speed of the video. This video is still in the making. I had the opportunity to work with Metal Arts company who organise the event to film and promote the festival. I also got to visit BBC Essex Radio Station and sit in and then interview the band 'Asylums' who are heavily involved in Metal.

Landscape

Landscapes

These are photographs of different landscapes I have taken. The first two were taken on a train. I wanted to get the blur of the trees and the juxtaposition with the stillness of the sky.

The panoramic was taken in Kingston-on-Thames. The photo shows the true beauty of the river Thames a bit further inland. Also I wanted the forest in the photo to show nature at its best.

The photo below was taken on an iPhone 7. The sky was beautiful and I wanted to capture this moment through a photo and so I did. The silhouettes of the houses and telephone poles add to this photo as it shows that in a built up area, nature still exists and can be stunning.

Gig Photos

Photos from Concerts

These are some photos from different concerts I have been to. When I go to gigs I often take photos for memories and also because often the performance includes lighting and back drops. The pictures are all from mainly indie rock / alternative bands performances. These photos are taken because I often want visual reminders and memories of the gigs I attend.

London

London

These are shots of when I went to London. I took videos of the tube and other unique shots for a project I was working on and still am. I wanted shots that show the true form of London with the hustle and bustle of the city.

Southend-on-Sea

Southend-on-Sea

Below are photographs I took at Southend Seafront at sunset. These photos capture the true beauty that can be found within nature. Living by the sea I have never truly understood how amazing it is to watch the sun set over the sea and watch it get swallowed into the sea. These photos were taken on my iPhone 7.

This is a time lapse I created in Southend-on-Sea. This was also shot on my iPhone 7. The sun can be seen setting over the sea and also the tide going out can be viewed. There are seagulls flying around and this sums up Southend seafront.

Photos - Mallorca

Mallorca

These are some photos that I took on my DSLR camera in 2015. These photos were shot in Mallorca, the first three at a port and the final being a view that I had. I added a black and white filter onto these first photo as I was playing about with different filters and this just made the water clear and still and the plants on the left side were also more visible with this filter.

Port
The image below is at the same port and I wanted to get a shot that would show land, sea and sky in one image. This was done by getting the perfect angle and focus on the camera. The boats were very aesthetically pleasing and this fits into the scene.
Port
The image below is a view from a balcony of the beach. This photo has no edit on it as I wanted to get the scenery in it's purest form. The seaweed can be seen with the transition in the light blue and the dark blue in the sea. There is a ship in the water which adds to the scene.
